Kew Bridge Counselling

Kew Bridge Counselling

A confidential space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life.

Providing short- and long-term counselling and therapy to adults, children and young people.

My Approach

Life can be very challenging and there may be times we need some help and support from a professional. I aim to offer a safe and comfortable environment in which you can talk openly and be listened to, heard and understood.

Together, we can explore how you can go about achieving your aims, be it increased confidence, better relationships, reduced stress or a more satisfying job, coming out of depression or feeling happier.

What you talk about is entirely up to you and will be kept confidential. I aim to offer a safe, comfortable environment in which you will be able to feel at ease enough to talk about what might be difficult subjects. The thought of counselling might understandably, seem a daunting prospect. However, I will listen without judgment or criticism and work creatively with you around the issues you bring, to explore your options and find satisfactory resolutions.

Many of my clients have told me they have gained new perspectives and increased confidence through our work together. Whatever you come to counselling for, we will find a way through it and a way forward.

About Me

My name is Elizabeth Kovacs. I have a background in secondary school teaching, HR and education welfare.

I qualified in 1994 and have since worked in private practice as well as in Local Authorities, the NHS, Schools and Bereavement Counselling services. I am also a counselling supervisor.

I give people the time and space to speak freely about themselves whilst I listen intently and without judgment. I like to work collaboratively and creatively to help people find their best way forward whether it's to change themselves or how their feel or their life circumstances, or to make decisions or improve their relationships.

Having counselled people for over 27 years, I have considerable experience of working a wide range of issues, among them:

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • relationships
  • divorce and separation
  • bereavement and loss
  • low self-esteem
  • anger
  • health conditions
  • eating habits
  • work-related issues
  • stress
  • unhelpful patterns of behaviour

I have seen people change their life, relieve their stress, understand relationships better and start to live a better life. Many clients have commented on developing a new perspective as a result of counselling.

I have worked with people of a wide range of ages, ethnicities, cultures and backgrounds on a range of issues. As a fully-qualified counsellor I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and abide by their code of ethics.
